Short Biography
Alex graduated from Tufts University in 2016 with a bachelors in Computer Science. Thereafter he was a computational research tech in Ernest Fraenkel’s group at MIT, in the department of Biological Engineering, developing software to analyze omics data from ALS patients and models. He joined the Computational and Systems Biology (CSB) program in 2019 and has been working on novel gene therapies for age-related neurodegenerative diseases, including ALS, Huntington’s, and Alzheimer’s.
